The Victorian Family Preservation and Reunification (FPR) Response is an innovative, evidence‐based program dedicated to working intensively with families to reduce the risk of children entering – or returning to – out‐of‐home care. We deliver fast, coordinated, and wraparound support that strengthens families and transforms futures.

As a key practitioner in our FPR team, you will:

Build strong, culturally safe, strengths-based relationships with children and familiesDeliver intensive assessments, safety planning, and tailored parenting strategiesWork collaboratively with partner agencies to create a connected web of supportChampion resilience, empowerment, and self-determination for every family you work with

You'll work closely with some of Victoria's most vulnerable children and young people, including:

Families with unborn Child Protection reportsChildren aged 0–5Adolescents aged 10–14 with multiple Child Protection reports or orders

These families may be experiencing complex challenges such as early Child Protection involvement, disability-related care needs, mental health concerns, substance use, family violence, or their own history of being in care.

Your Skills And Experience

A tertiary qualification in social work, psychology, community services work or equivalent. Minimum of two years' experience in case management.
