The role of the MYH Youth Health Worker - Early Intervention Impacts of Violence on Children Worker is to provide support and services to young people, particularly those impacted by violence and disadvantage. The focus of the position is on overall health and well-being through therapeutic counselling, group work, health education, mental health support, and access to physical health services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Engagement of vulnerable youth in accessing specialized primary healthcare services.
* Delivery of 1:1 and group therapeutic interventions focusing on the impacts of violence on children.
* Development and delivery of quality outcomes for clients through a therapeutic approach aligned with best practice standards.
* Improvement of service access and outcomes for young people through partnerships and collaborations with healthcare professionals and government agencies.
