Ngadju Native Title Aboriginal Corporation RNTBC (NNTAC) is the Prescribed Body Corporate (PBC) for the Ngadju People of the Goldfields Region of Western Australia. The Ngadju Native Title determination is one of the largest in Australia.
About the Role:
NNTAC is currently seeking an experienced and highly organised Management Accountant to join our team based in West Perth. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer the ideal candidate will be responsible for all accounting functions.
Responsibilities:
* Perform day to day account processing for corporate accounts, including general journals, bank reconciliations, and lease accounting.
* Manage all financial aspects for various business units.
* Preparation of monthly GL reconciliations and financial statements, including credit card reconciliations.
* Assist in maintaining financial and cash flow forecast updates to ensure sufficient cash requirement.
* Preparation of the quarterly BAS/IAS and annual FBT return.
* Liaise with the external accountants on financial reporting and auditing
* Prepare accurate monthly management accounts, financial reports, and variance analysis.
* Prepare budget and forecasts, ensuring business performance is effectively monitored.
* Partner with managers to provide insights into costs, margins, and financial drivers.
* Support decision-making through financial modelling and business case analysis.
* Contribute to system and process improvements across the finance function.
* Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
* Oversee AP/AR, expense claims, and credit card reconciliations
* Collaborate with operational teams to improve financial processes
* Champion finance systems including Xero
* Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in finance and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function.
What We're Looking For:
* Tertiary Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
* Professional accounting qualification (CPA, CA) preferred or working towards.
* 2+ years' experience in management accounting, financial analysis, or similar role.
* Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
* Advanced Excel and experience with ERP/BI systems.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skill
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Demonstrated experience and proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Ability to create, edit, and format documents, spreadsheets, and presentations efficiently.
* Previous experience working with Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander People.
* Experienced in non-profit organisations.
