Market Eating House Bunbury, Western Australia Market Eating House operates several hospitality venues in Bunbury including Market Eating House restaurant, Market on the Road catering, and The Old Lyric events venue.
Our venues deliver a diverse range of hospitality experiences including restaurant dining, weddings, corporate events, private functions and off-site catering. We are currently seeking a full-time Waiter / Food & Beverage Attendant to join our front of house team. This role focuses on professional restaurant-style table service, including food and wine service, and differs from typical café counter service roles.
Responsibilities
* Providing professional restaurant table service, following a structured sequence of service
* Greeting guests, presenting menus and guiding guests through food and beverage selections
* Taking accurate food and beverage orders and delivering service efficiently
* Providing wine and beverage service at the table, including presenting, opening and serving bottles where required
* Assisting guests with menu knowledge including ingredients, preparation methods and flavour profiles
* Coordinating with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate service
* Setting up and packing down restaurant and event spaces
* Assisting with service for weddings, functions and catered events
* Maintaining high standards of guest service, presentation and attention to detail
* Following Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) requirements
* Ensuring dining areas remain clean, organised and prepared for service
Skills & Experience
* Experience working in a full-service restaurant environment (not counter-service cafés)
* Understanding of restaurant table service standards and sequence of service
* Experience providing food and wine service to guests
* Strong communication and customer service skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment
* Professional presentation and positive attitude
* Ability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays
* RSA certificate required or willingness to obtain
* Hospitality qualifications are desirable but not essential.
Employment Details
Position: Full-time
Location: Bunbury, Western Australia
Salary: $69,000 per year plus superannuation
Hours: Approximately 38 hours per week
