Our Federal Government client is seeking an experienced Senior SAP Infrastructure Engineer to join their team.
* 12 months contract with 2x12 months extension option

The SAP Technical Specialist is critical to maintaining, uplifting, and ensuring the ongoing security and reliability of the SDO SAP systems. This includes onboarding new agencies, managing system upgrades and enabling security compliance across SAP BTP, HPE GreenLake and hybrid environments.
This role requires deep technical expertise in SAP BASIS, SAP BTP, infrastructure design, cloud migration, and security compliance (including IRAP and ANAO audits) in ECC and S4/HANA environments.
As Senior SAP Infrastructure Engineer, your duties will include:

o Provision of expert technical advice and recommendations for system migrations and hybrid integration, aligned with best practice.
* Management and maintenance of SDO SAP systems (ECC6, S/4 HANA, BW/4 HANA, ERP, PI, Fiori, GRC, etc.), BTP services (Integration Suite, Build Apps, Launchpad, Document Management, etc.), and HPE GreenLake HANA Enterprise Cloud.
* Execution of regular upgrades, patching, troubleshooting, and monitoring to ensure system stability and security.
* Configuration of destinations, connectivity, and extensions to integrate with SAP On-Premise and other applications.
* Leadership of system set-up and integration within HPE GreenLake and BTP environments.
* Automation and deployment using BTP CLI, CF CLI, and Git.
* Configuration, troubleshooting, and administration of OpenText solutions including Content Server, Web Services, and Archive Centre.
* Configuration and management of SAP Identity Authentication Service (IAS) and Identity Provisioning Service (IPS), including cloud identity solutions.
* Uplift of security posture through adoption and contribution to GRC and audit compliance requirements, provision of SAP Security guidance, and development and maintenance of system configuration, process, and security documentation (SRMP, SSP, IRAP).
* Operational support for major incidents.
* Collaboration with cross-functional teams for technology initiatives, system integrations, disaster recovery planning, and end-user support.
* Knowledge sharing, team mentoring, and uplift of technical capability (including documentation of processes, design etc.), and fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and capabilities:
* Subject matter expertise (equivalent to 10+ years of experience) in SAP BASIS administration (NetWeaver, S/4HANA, HANA DB).
* Demonstrated experience with SAP BTP administration (Cockpit, subaccounts, entitlements, services) and technical expertise of SAP HANA, SAP BTP, and HPE GreenLake environments.
* Proven ability managing SAP modules: S/4 HANA, BW/4 HANA, ERP, BW, Fiori, GRC, Portal, BusinessObjects, SRM, Lumira, Solution Manager, PI (ABAP/Java), IDM, and Fraud Management
* Expertise and/or strong understanding of:
o SFTP, SAP Router, admin tools, load balancers, firewalls, and third-party components like Sinch.
o Cloud Foundry, Cloud Neo, and cloud-native concepts (containers, microservices).
o certificate lifecycle management across SAP and non-SAP systems.
o Identity & Access Management, including SAP IAS and SSO.
o Australian government compliance and security standards (ISM, PSPF, IRAP, ANAO).
o DevOps practices (Git, CI/CD pipelines, automation tools).
* Demonstrated experience in:
o SAP Cloud Connector and hybrid landscape integration.
o database and performance management.
o system upgrades and migrations.
o Previous experience in with the technical delivery aspects of ERP implementations, including system configuration, integration, and data migration will be highly regarded.
