We are seeking a talented and driven chef to join our culinary team in the heart of South Australia's wine country.
About the Role
* Work closely with the Executive Chef to lead kitchen operations, develop seasonal menus, and ensure high standards of food preparation, taste and presentation.
* Mentor junior kitchen staff, manage day-to-day prep and service, and contribute ideas to elevate our food and wine experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Support and collaborate with the Executive Chef in all aspects of kitchen operations.
* Supervise and train kitchen staff, maintaining a positive and efficient team environment.
* Assist in menu planning with a focus on local produce and wine pairings.
* Ensure consistent quality, portion control, and presentation.
* Oversee stock control, ordering, and kitchen hygiene compliance (HACCP).
Requirements
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a Sous Chef or Senior CDP role.
* Passion for food and wine.
* Creative, organised, and calm under pressure.
* Strong leadership skills and a hands-on approach.
* Relevant qualifications in Commercial Cookery (Cert III or above).
