- We are seeking an experienced Mental Health Clinician to join the Community Mental Health Team on a fulltime basis (Monday to Friday) for a 3-month contract with potential for extension.
- The Mental Health Clinician will provide recovery focused clinical services including assessment, care coordination, intervention, liaison and review as part of a multidisciplinary team for clients who are referred to the service with a mental illness and mental disorder. As a clinician you will provide ongoing assessment, treatment and follow-up for consumers experiencing significant Mental Health challenges.
- **Key Responsibilities**
- Ensure the delivery of a comprehensive clinical service through the provision of assessment, case management and individual therapies, including specialised therapies for clients and their families or carers
- Provide evidence-based assessment and treatment interventions for clients with major and complex mental health problems
- Develop and implement specialised treatment programs
- Function as an active member of a multi-disciplinary team, including the provision of support and consultation to other team members as required
- Prepare specialised reports as required
- Consult and liaise with support services
- Participate in the planning, development and evaluation of the broader Mental Health Service as required
**About You**
- Completed Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Occupational Therapy or Nursing
- Current registration with AASW or AHPRA
- Prior experience in Community Mental Health setting
- Demonstrated experience working with adults in a similar mental health service
- Well-developed written and verbal communication, liaison, team-work and interpersonal skills
- Current C class drivers license and ability to travel within the region as required
**Salary**
- Casual Rates up $70 p/h + Super + Free Share Accommodation + Travel allowance
