As the Senior Human Resources Business Partner you will:
* Contribute to the development, review and implementation of a range of organisational capability strategies that enable the Corporate region to demonstrate performance excellence and service delivery innovation, to meet the needs of internal customer and other key stakeholders.
* Drive, shape and influence a business culture strongly aligned to achieving organisational performance and continuous improvement through the application of a range of human resources competencies including strategic human resources management, leadership development, recruitment and selection and employee relations initiatives.
This position reports to the Manager, Human Resources.
This is aPermanent, Full-Time opportunity,unless otherwise determined.
The position will be based primarily at Mount Gravatt however you may be required to perform work at other TAFE Queensland campuses.
Key Responsibilities
* Contribute to the success of transformation and cultural change through promoting and modelling the established values of Safety First, Working Together, Focusing on our Customer, Taking Responsibility and Showing Initiative.
* In collaboration with the Manager, Human Resources develop, implement and coordinate key statewide strategic human resource and workforce capability projects and initiatives.
* Researching and analysing HR management issues and workforce data, identifying trends and key areas for improvement and developing business solutions that drive better practices, build workforce capability, staff engagement and experience
* Provide high quality advisory services through partnering and coaching managers to undertake informal and formal positive performance management, organisational change, complaints management, disputes and conduct matters as required.
* Build capability within the Human Resources team to partner with business leaders, coach managers and build people capability.
* Present concise, high quality and timely reports, correspondence and submissions of a complex nature on a full range of people management issues.
* Maintain high levels of communication to effectively liaise, negotiate, consult, influence and problem solve with a diverse range of stakeholders, including internal and external clients whilst fostering collaborative relationships.
* Understand, interpret and advise on legislation, employment frameworks, policies and guidelines to support processes and procedures relevant to the full employee life cycle.
* Conduct research and analysis to provide advice on issues relative to employee engagement, reward and recognition, leadership and organisational development to support the Region's strategic focus.
* Build and maintain professional relationships with key stakeholders to effectively drive projects with a focus to achieve business unit and organisational outcomes.
How you will be assessed
The ideal applicant will be someone who has the following key capabilities:
* Diverse experience in a human resource generalist role, in particular at a senior advisory level in developing and implementing robust human resource initiatives, projects and strategies.
* Proven flexibility, personal drive, integrity and the initiative to adopt a positive and balanced approach to work in a dynamic, complex and competitive organisation.
* Knowledge of, and a demonstrated ability to, interpret industrial legislation, employment frameworks, policies and directives and apply these provisions which influence and direct human resource management.
* Demonstrated highly developed written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to manage the flow of people and business, liaise and consult with internal and external stakeholders regarding sensitive and confidential matters and maintain effective working relationships in a high pressure environment.
* Demonstrated highly developed interpersonal skills including negotiation, influencing and listening skills to coach and support managers on human resource management strategies and make recommendations to resolve issues.
Highly Desirable Requirements
* Tertiary qualifications and experience in human resources, business, organisational development, or related discipline.
