Are you someone who loves bringing people together to create opportunities that genuinely make a difference? Do you enjoy building relationships, solving problems collaboratively, and helping students thrive in real-world settings? If so, you might be the person we're looking for.

Curtin University's School of Allied Health is seeking a motivated, and community-minded Partnerships Lead to help shape the future of WA's allied health workforce.

Why this Role matters.

Across Western Australia, the demand for skilled allied health professionals is growing quickly. Communities - particularly in regional and remote areas - need graduates who are confident, compassionate, and ready for practice. High-quality student placements are essential in preparing students for this responsibility.

Developing sustainable, well-supported clinical / practice placements is critical to support the future development of the allied health and social care workforce. Developing strong partnerships with a range of diverse service providers is essential for sustainability.

That's why this role is so important. As our Partnership Lead, you will strategically develop collaborative relationships with health and social care organisations. You will work together with our School placement directors and officers, and service organisations to create placement opportunities that benefit students, support providers, and strengthen Curtin's commitment to graduating future health and social care practitioners to make a difference to local and global communities.

As Partnerships Lead, You will:

Build Meaningful Partnerships

* Reach out to health and social care providers, listening carefully to their needs and exploring how we can work together.
* Develop partnership agreements that support student learning and deliver real value to partner organisations.
* Maintain open, and effective communication with partners, academic teams, fieldwork staff, and students.

Support High-Quality Student Placements

* Ensure all placements support excellent learning outcomes and discipline-specific requirements.
* Troubleshoot challenges with empathy and clarity, helping partners and staff work smoothly together.

Financial Sustainability

* Develop practical, sustainable financial models to support long-term partnership arrangements.
* Monitor budgets and identify opportunities for shared investment or external funding.
* Keep school leadership informed through quality reporting.

Quality and Continuous Improvement

* Ensure partnerships and placements meet Curtin policies, accreditation standards, and legislative requirements.
* Look for ways to continually improve the placement experience for students and partners alike.

Engage with the Community

* Build strong, positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Represent Curtin at meetings, forums, and industry events.

About You

You are someone who values collaboration, integrity, excellence and clear communication. You bring a strategic mindset, but you also understand the importance of relationships, trust, and shared purpose.

SELECTION CRITERIA

We're looking for

* Experience as a health service manager or senior leader within the health or social care sector.
* Demonstrated success in developing and managing partnerships, ideally in health/ social care or education.
* Strong financial acumen and experience creating sustainable business models.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
* Proven ability to lead operational programs and deliver complex projects.

Desirable

* Experience in university administration or allied health or social care education.
* Knowledge of accreditation standards and regulatory requirements for student placements.
* Advanced proficiency in relevant software and placement management systems.
