About the Role
The role will bring expert level competency inCSG Hydraulic Fracture Stimulation with local Surat Basin experience to the Future Volumes sustaining wells team. It is expected that the role drives rapid adoption of best practices and innovation, reflecting the time critical nature of the project.

Position: Petroleum Engineer - Senior Production Technologist (Fracture stimulation specialist in Tight Coal)
Location: Brisbane, QLD
Indicative Term of Contract: 12 months
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday (travel to site is required)

Skills & Requirements:

* Subject matter expert inCSG Hydraulic Fracture Stimulation including front end project screening, fracture design, economic evaluation and planning.

* Experience required with integrating core, log, DFIT and microseismic data into frac design

* Deep knowledge of Hydraulic Fracture Stimulation operations and equipment including significant experience working to deploy fracture stimulation operations

* Has significant tight coal (CSG) experience including local Surat Basin knowledge

* Can lead challenging discussions on risk vs value to drive optimal outcomes for the business

* Ability to positively influence stakeholders to achieve exceptional outcomes

* Strong planning and organizational skills with proven delivery on promise

* Ability to lead and work in an integrated team environment.

* Strength in coaching and mentoring; and a tested capacity to influence and deliver in a team

* Demonstrated capacity to receive constructive feedback from stakeholders and respond with a learner mindset.

* Ability and desire to contribute to the development of a team culture.

* Excellent inter-personal skills (networking, communication, emotional intelligence).

Key activities will include:

* Support rapid screening of well design and completion options for tight coal development areas, using broad stakeholder feedback to develop appropriate screening criteria.

* Maturation of Production Technology scope related decisions to sufficient decision quality, incorporating all available information and robust analysis.

* Assistance with the development of relevant project deliverables including Well Design Concept Options, Concept Select Report and Well Functional Specification.

* Providing training & expert advice to Production technologists within the team and across TECOP for the wider team (for example Environment and Social Performance).

Qualifications/Experience:

* A university degree in Petroleum Engineering (or other relevant engineering discipline) with circa 15+ yrs industry experience.
