I'm currently working with a specialist piling subcontractor delivering foundation packages on a major transmission line project in Australia. With works ramping up, they're looking to bring on an experienced an Engineer to support delivery of piling and foundation works for transmission towers.
This role sits with the subcontractor responsible for the construction of tower foundations, offering strong exposure to large-scale renewable energy and transmission infrastructure.
The Role
Working closely with the Project Manager and site supervisors, you'll be responsible for engineering support across multiple tower foundation locations, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to specification.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing day-to-day engineering for piling and transmission tower foundation works
* Supporting delivery of bored piles, rock sockets and reinforced concrete foundations
* QA management including ITPs, inspections and as-built documentation
* Coordinating survey, set-out and construction methodology onsite
* Liaising with the head contractor, client representatives and design teams
* Monitoring productivity, sequencing and programme performance
* Assisting with reporting, variations and technical queries
About You
* Experience as a Site Engineer or Project Engineer within piling, ground engineering or foundations
* Exposure to transmission, renewable energy or large civil infrastructure projects highly regarded
* Strong understanding of piling methodologies and foundation construction
* Previous FIFO or remote project experience preferred
* Civil Engineering degree or equivalent qualification
