About the Role:
Aptella is seeking an experienced OEM Business Development Manager to join our team and champion the Civil sales strategy across the NSW/ ACT. This is an exciting opportunity to work collaboratively with regional personnel to achieve revenue and operational objectives while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction and service.
You are a driven and results-oriented professional with a deep understanding of the civil construction industry. With proven experience in selling complex technology solutions, you excel at building strong relationships with OEM dealers and understanding their unique needs. You have a solid technical background in machine control systems and High Precision GPS, allowing you to confidently communicate the value and benefits of these solutions to clients.
You thrive in a fast-paced environment, leveraging your knowledge of the construction space to identify new business opportunities and grow market share. Your consultative approach to sales, combined with your ability to navigate complex sales cycles, positions you as a trusted partner to OEM dealers, helping them implement cutting-edge technology to enhance their customers outcomes.
You are self-motivated, with excellent communication and negotiation skills, and you are passionate about delivering solutions that drive efficiency and productivity in the construction industry. Key Responsibilities:
* Drive Revenue Growth: Set and achieve sales targets while maintaining healthy margins. Leverage your understanding of a broad portfolio of technologies to identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities across a range of sectors.
* Expanding Market Penetration: Build and strengthen strategic alliances with leading OEMs and identify opportunities to onboard new partners. You'll play a key role in increasing brand visibility and ensuring our solutions remain top-of-mind across the industry.
* Championing Customer Satisfaction: Build trusted, long-term relationships with OEMs, construction companies, rental providers, and government clients. Take a proactive approach to post-sales support by prioritising customer needs, seeking feedback, resolving issues quickly, and using every experience — even the negative — as a chance to grow and improve.
* Delivering Tailored Solutions: Approach challenges with a solution-ready mindset. Ensure every recommendation aligns with the end customer's digital transformation goals and delivers true value to their operations.
* Enabling OEM Sales Success: Support our OEM partners with effective sales enablement tools — including training materials and clear, practical product information — to ensure the technology is easy to understand and sell.
* Forecasting and Planning: Maintain clear visibility of all sales opportunities and pipeline activity. Your ability to forecast accurately will help improve lead times and ensure stock availability aligns with customer demand.
About You:
* You bring proven experience in business development, sales strategy, and relationship management within the OEM sector or closely related industries.
* You're highly skilled in CRM systems ideally with experience using Dynamics 365 or similar platforms with a strong focus on accurate record keeping
* You have a strong understanding of the civil construction market, particularly within NSW and ACT, and can confidently identify and pursue growth opportunities.
* You're experienced in contributing to annual sales budget planning and enjoy representing the business at industry events, conferences, and key initiatives .
* Your communication, negotiation, and presentation skills are exceptional, enabling you to influence a range of internal and external stakeholders.
* You thrive in collaborative environments, working effectively across regional teams and leading cross-functional projects with confidence.
* You have a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets, driving measurable business growth.
* You lead with integrity, demonstrating strong leadership and a commitment to safety, with a clear focus on promoting and upholding WHS standards.
* Self-driven and proactive, you're always looking for ways to grow professionally and stay ahead of emerging market trends and innovations .
