As the Mine Planning Engineer your primary purpose in this position is to provide production/planning support to allow the safe, efficient and cost effective operation of the Mining department to effectively exploit the mineral reserve.Reporting to the Senior Mine Planning Engineer, your duties will include:Identify risk to the operation within the role and take reasonable actions to mitigate that riskEngagement with Safety programs and initiativesGeneration and communication of mine development designsGeneration and maintenance of standards and procedures for the design processes as well as maintaining the mine design registerCollaboration with the Mine Planning Engineer (Scheduling) to optimise and maintain the mine physicals scheduleGeneration and maintenance of databases and be responsible for daily physicals reportingMonitor and communicate mine development performance through operations and geology morning meetings and weekly planning meetingsAssisting Mine Planning Engineers (Scheduling and Reserves)The successful candidate should possess the following:Tertiary degree in mining engineering or relevant professional experience.Experience in underground Drill and Blast (desired).
