This senior leadership role is responsible for overseeing three intervention programs that support clients assessed as at risk of radicalisation, while strengthening community safety outcomes across NSW. You will lead a multidisciplinary team of Case Managers and a Senior Specialist Psychologist, ensuring services are high-quality, evidence-based, and responsive to complex client needs.
This is a high-impact role for a leader who thrives in complex environments and is committed to collaborative, ethical, and trauma-informed practice.
Your role
As Operations Manager, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across the CVE ESU, ensuring programs are delivered safely, effectively, and in line with Commonwealth and NSW Countering Violent Extremism (CVE) strategies.
You will work closely with senior leaders, community partners, and government stakeholders to continuously improve service delivery, build workforce capability, and support positive client and community outcomes.
What you’ll do
* Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team delivering CVE interventions and reintegration services
* Oversee all operational aspects of the ESU, including workforce management, finance, administration, and quality assurance
* Provide professional supervision and practice leadership to Case Managers
* Drive continuous improvement in frontline service delivery aligned to CVE strategic priorities
* Build and maintain strong partnerships with community organisations, NGOs, and government stakeholders
* Develop business plans and manage program budgets to ensure efficient and sustainable service delivery
* Prepare high-level documentation including Ministerial briefings, reports, and responses to Parliamentary requests
* Foster a culture of learning, professional development, and evidence-based practice.
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for a confident and values-driven leader who brings:
* Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams in complex, high-risk or high-needs service environments
* Strong understanding of contemporary case management approaches and best practice
* Demonstrated ability to deliver operational and strategic objectives within government or human services settings
* Experience working collaboratively with internal divisions and external partners to improve service systems
* Sound judgement, resilience, and the ability to manage sensitive and time-critical matters
Essential requirements
* Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Social or Behavioural Science, Welfare, or a related discipline (or equivalent demonstrated experience)
* Australian citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a National Security Clearance (NV1)
* Current NSW Driver Licence
Desirable
* Experience leading services in CVE, criminal justice, psychosocial support, or related fields
* Experience managing geographically dispersed teams and stakeholders, including rural and remote contexts
