Job Description
Location: Port Lincoln, South Australia.
Status: Full-Time Contract to 30 June 2026 working 38 hours per week
Annual Salary: from $88,090 to $94,788 per annum
About the Position
In this dual role, you will be responsible for recruiting and assessing Specialist Foster Carers and providing case management and support to ensure children and young people are cared for in safe, nurturing environments. You will work closely with carers, families, and professionals to implement therapeutic care plans and promote the value of alternative care.
As a Case Manager / Recruitment and Assessment Officer key responsibilities will include:
* Recruiting and assessing Specialist Foster Carers using approved tools and standards.
* Providing case management and support to carers and children in care.
* Developing and implementing treatment plans in collaboration with carers and stakeholders.
* Delivering training and support to carers to build specialist skills.
* Promoting foster care through community engagement and recruitment campaigns.
* Maintaining accurate records and contributing to service improvement initiatives.

About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
* A minimum Certificate IV in Child, Youth & Family Intervention or Community Services Work (a degree in Social Work or Human Services is desirable)
* Experience in case management and community engagement and providing support to families
* Knowledge of child development, abuse and neglect, trauma, and therapeutic care models
* High-level communication, organisational, and IT skills
Requirements of the role:
* Hold (or willingness to obtain) a current DHS Working With Children Check *
* Hold (or a willingness to obtain) a National Criminal History Record Check (Police Check) *
* Hold a current South Australian Driver's License (minimum Provisional License)
