About the Job
A fantastic opportunity has emerged for a skilled Service Advisor to join a well-established heavy vehicle dealership group with multiple branches across multiple states.
In this pivotal role, you will act as the vital link between the workshop and the customer. You will utilize your mechanical background to provide expert advice, ensuring every vehicle that enters the service department receives high-quality attention while keeping our valued clients informed every step of the way.
Key Responsibilities:
* Act as the first point of contact, providing professional and technical guidance to clients.
* Accurately identify vehicle issues and advise on necessary maintenance or repair services.
* Manage the end-to-end service process, including generating quotes and final invoices.
* Coordinate with the workshop to provide timely updates on job progress and completion times.
* Oversee warranty adjudications and ensure all related documentation is processed accurately.
Required Skills & Experience:
* Trade qualification in Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Technology or a similar engineering field.
* Proven experience in a technical advisory or service-related role within the machinery industry.
* Sound diagnostic skills with the ability to solve complex technical problems.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
* Strong organizational abilities with a high attention to detail and time management.
Previous exposure to Trucks in a retail or wholesale environment would be advantageous for this position. Candidates who have experience with brands such as Kenworth, Volvo, Western Star, MAN, Mercedes Benz Trucks, Fuso, Iveco, Hino, Isuzu, Scania, Freightliner or similar are strongly encouraged to apply.
On offer is an attractive package of approximately c. $80k - $100k base (depending on experience).
