Summary:Conduct thorough research to identify potential customers using multiple sources. Engage proactively with potential and existing customers across the assigned industries. Develop and maintain strong relationships to expand our business network to achieve set targets and contribute to overall revenue growth.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Conduct thorough research to identify potential customers using multiple sources.Drive year-over-year sales growth and exceed annual sales targets.Proactively reach out to potential customers and convert new customer opportunities into orders and revenue.Develop relationships with individuals at key accounts and convert those relationships into long-term partnerships.Prepare proposals and quotes for decision-makers at customer organizations.Act as a point of contact for customers and collaborate with colleagues in outside sales to grow sales.Utilize value-added sales techniques and negotiation skills to grow market share.Negotiate contracts with key customers.Secure and evaluate all relevant information to process and resolve customer inquiries and complaints.Utilize CRM tools to drive growth and manage all customer communication and follow-up.Close sales, follow up on payments, and meet Accounts Receivable targets.Ensure a healthy and safe work environment throughout our locations and adhere to EHS policies and guidelines.Ensure compliance with all internal, external, and corporate policies, procedures, and quality standards.Be available for Customer Service tasks and business logistics tasks in that function’s absence.Qualifications:Strong business acumen, highly customer-oriented, and a strong sense of urgency, with the ability to make decisions in ambiguity.Ability to cultivate effective partnerships.Clear understanding of business drivers and their impact on financial performance, with a high attention to detail.Solid negotiation skills and knowledge of value-added selling techniques.Demonstrated track record in driving sales revenue, profitability growth, and value creation.Strong executive presence with excellent verbal and written communication skills.Proficient computer skills required.Ability to work in a fast-paced and results-oriented environment.Education and/or Work Experience:Minimum relevant trade qualification in toolmaking, machining, or fitting.Minimum of 4 years’ experience in External Sales or Inside Sales.Strong product and application knowledge in related industries such as Metal Cutting, Agribusiness, fluid handling, and Mining.Or an equivalent combination of education and experience with hands-on experience in the above roles and markets.
