Initial 3month contract to start ASAP with possible extension paying approx. $950/day Fortitude Valley Location with flexibility to WFH 2 days per week Analyse application and infrastructure licensing and cost data Our client, a large complex organisation within the Utilities sector, are currently seeking a Business Analyst to start asap for their Licence Rationalisation Project. Working closely with the Project Manager, the successful applicant will support the successful delivery of the project—a key initiative focused on analysing application and infrastructure licensing and cost data. This role will uncover inefficiencies and deliver actionable insights to guide prioritisation and strategic decision-making. Working closely with key stakeholders, the analyst will play a vital role in shaping recommendations for the Senior Leadership Team, driving cost optimisation across the organisation. Responsibilities Analyse and map current-state business processes related to application and infrastructure usage. Identify process inefficiencies and opportunities for streamlining and cost optimisation. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and validate business requirements. Translate business needs into clear documentation, including process flows and use cases. Support the development of future-state process models aligned with rationalisation goals. Facilitate workshops and interviews to understand operational impacts and dependencies. Assist in the creation of business cases for process and system changes. Provide insights to inform prioritisation of rationalisation efforts. Work closely with finance, IT, and business units to ensure alignment of process changes with cost-saving targets. Monitor and report on the effectiveness of implemented process improvements. Contribute to stakeholder presentations and recommendations for the Senior Leadership Team. Experience/Skills Experience as a Business Analyst in digital or IT projects. Strong skills in requirements gathering, documentation, and user story creation. Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in an agile environment. Experience with business analysis tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence).
