The Role
We believe in the talent and strength of our team, and as we continue to grow, we are
looking for a Cost Controller to join our Team at our project based in Fulham Victoria.
This position will coordinate the site team in order to ensure that the delivery deadlines of
the photovoltaic plant are met and that their individual objectives are achieved.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparation and maintenance of project budgets and forecasts, maintain the Final Forecast Cost of projects.
* Monthly analysis of costs codes, actuals and accruals.
* Variance analysis such as monthly movements & budget vs forecast.
* Monitor potential risks and opportunities.
* Updating the project cash flow forecast.
* Review and recommend amendments to the project coding structures.
* Maintain close contact with the relevant contracts administrators to ensure the contract data is accurately reflected in the cost system and assist in efficiently administering the project.
* Prepare and submit monthly client progress claim.
* Support Project Managers with subcontractor's progress claims documentation.
* Support project activities within the scope of the role.
* Contribute to continuous improvement of systems and work practices.
* Preparation of month end journals and process expenses.
Skills and Knowledge
* SAP: Intermediate level.
* Excel: Intermediate level.
* Tableau: User level.
* JIRA: User level.
Qualifications and Experience
* Bachelor's degree or above in Commerce, Business or Finance.
* CA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent qualification desirable.
* Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within construction or engineering industry.
* Previous experience in controlling costs throughout the project lifecycle.
* Experience in using cost control systems and tools.
* Experience in project schedules and outputs in MS office of Primavera 6 desirable.
