School Assistant
Status:
Full Time, term time only
Location:
Mancel College @ Fig Tree Pocket, Brisbane
Role Commencing:
Term 1, ****
At Mancel College, we see every student for their potential, not their limitations.
We're not just looking for School Assistants, we're looking for difference-makers. People who believe in building relationships, championing inclusion, and helping students feel safe, supported, and empowered every single day.
As a School Assistant, you'll be a key player in sparking a lifelong love of learning. You'll set the stage for a positive day of learning by assisting students in developing the skills they need to connect with their teachers, peers, and the world around them.
Throughout the day, you'll work alongside teachers to guide students through a variety of subjects, making each lesson an exciting journey of discovery. Whether it's exploring the wonders of science, the creativity of art, or the beauty of language, your support will help students see beyond facts and figures to understand the world in all its fascinating detail.
Our students are often underestimated by society, but you will know our students and know that they crave better. They are curious, capable, and ready to achieve more than anyone ever imagined, and you will empower them to realise this potential.
What you will do:
Bring relevant experience, qualifications (Cert III or Cert IV in School Based Education Support or equivalent), Child Safety Checks, and a passion for working with students to make a positive impact in the classroom.
Support teachers in understanding the unique needs of students with Language Disorders and co-occurring difficulties, helping to adapt teaching methods to support their learning journey.
Make a difference by empowering students, advocating for their academic, social, and child safety success, and fostering an inclusive and positive learning environment.
Assist in delivering outstanding educational experiences by creatively supporting lesson plans and activities that cater to each student's unique needs.
Collaborate with teachers to implement programs and strategies that address the diverse educational requirements of our students.
Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to innovative and adaptive ways of learning that benefit all students.
Be committed to your own professional growth, continuously learning and developing skills to enhance the support you provide in the classroom.
Benefits:
What can we give you in return for your passion:
An exceptionally satisfying experience as you support students on their learning journey
Professional Development: Expand your skill set with opportunities for transdisciplinary development, external and internal growth opportunities.
