We are seeking a HWSE Coordinator / Safety, Health & Environment Coordinator that is passionate about supporting the team to focus on reducing critical risk within the Prydes site at Gunnedah and implementing learnings from incidents. This role provides an opportunity to implement strategic direction at site level and see the impact of your work in action.
Key Responsibilities Include
Assisting with the development of critical risk control plans, supporting those accountable for reducing risk
Supporting incident investigations to identify and address both root cause and contributing factors
Monitoring regular inspections to provide insights to the site leadership team where improvements can be made and basic compliance activities are undertaken
Developing greater understanding of first line leaders in the value of lead indicator activities
Supporting the site to implement group wide processes designed to improve HWSE performance
Supporting capital expenditure planning with HWSE insights
About You
To succeed in this role, you will have the skills and ability to engage the workforce to drive and own safety and environment. If you are a self-starter, proactive and results oriented with a safety-first mindset, then this role is for you
You Will Have
months previous Australian experience working in a similar role, ideally from within a similar manufacturing business
Australian recognised industry qualification in Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety, or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety
Full Working Rights in Australia - no sponsorship is available for this role
Thorough knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety legislation and ability to interpret acts and regulations, understanding of common law
Internal Auditing experience
Excellent communication skills with both written and oral
Ability to communicate and engages with stakeholders
Excited about being autonomous in your role, and able to manage your own workload with minimal supervision or direction
Enjoy living in remote and rural country Australia
