Payroll & Finance Officer

What You'll Bring
We're looking for someone with:
Demonstrated experience in end-to-end payroll processing (Employment Hero, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, or similar preferred)
Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, awards, superannuation, and leave entitlements
Excellent accuracy, attention to detail, and strong numerical skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with digital payroll systems
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with Finance, HR, and other divisions
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee data responsibly
Strong communication and customer service skills with a focus on internal support
Your Role
Responsibilities
Payroll Management: Process fortnightly payroll accurately for up to 440 staff and employees with disabilities, and ensuring compliance with legislation across two major Awards
Employee Records: Maintain up-to-date employee data, leave balances, and superannuation records
Reporting: Generate payroll and finance reports for management and compliance purposes
Employee Support: Respond to payroll queries in a timely and professional manner
Compliance: Ensure all payroll activities align with legislation, awards, and company policies
Finance Support: Assist with accounts receivable, customer debt recovery, reconciliations, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
System Improvements: Contribute to the enhancement of payroll systems and internal controls
