The St John of God Bunbury Allied Health department is a diverse and welcoming team who go above and beyond to provide high quality care to our patients from many walks of life.
We are seeking a Casual and a Full Time Fixed Term Grade 1 Occupational Therapist to work alongside the multi‐disciplinary team to provide clinical occupational therapy services to clients and patients using evidence‐based clinical practice skills.
The hospital offers a broad range of OT services to our inpatients such as acute medical care, palliative care and pre‐post surgical care.
As a Grade 1 Occupational Therapist, you will have access to strong mentoring, peer support and pathways for professional development.
A 12‐month full‐time, fixed‐term position and casual positions are available.
The Position
* Provide direct occupational therapy services to clients and/or carers on an individual or group level for both inpatients and outpatients, including comprehensive patient assessment.
* Provision of a comprehensive treatment intervention and appropriate progression treatment to match functional goals.
* Coordinate the provision of special aids and equipment requirements of patients if required to assist with functioning.
* Provide consultation and support to medical, nursing, catering and allied health professionals within the Division as appropriate.
* Responsible for completing appropriate administrative duties arising from each session, including liaison with the office administration team, reporting of statistical data and completion of clinical documentation.
* Participate in multidisciplinary activities such as team meetings, ward rounds, or case conferences as required.
* Participate in the delivery of education programmes within the service and for divisional caregivers.
* Participate in other activities as assigned.
* Supervise, instruct and assess students in approved clinical teaching programs in liaison with the Supervisor/Manager.
Qualifications
You will hold a tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Applicants must demonstrate knowledge and skills in assessment, treatment and evaluation within Occupational Therapy practice, and effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills (including the ability to communicate using technology).
Additional Requirements
A current C Class Driver's Licence is essential.
Benefits
* Salary: $85,508 to $120,255 plus 12% superannuation.
* Hourly Rate: $53.91 to $75.82 per hour (inclusive of casual loading) plus 12% superannuation.
* Casual and fixed‐term full‐time position available.
