Job Description

As a Community Health Officer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the health and wellbeing of our community. This dynamic role requires a unique blend of technical expertise, communication skills, and a passion for public service.

* Provide professional advice to stakeholders on public and environmental health issues, drawing on your knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations.
* Educate and engage the community on key health issues, implementing and monitoring initiatives to promote healthy practices and behaviors.
* Conduct assessments of technical reports and development applications, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Lead inspections and investigations, identifying and mitigating potential health risks across various sectors, including food safety, water quality, noise pollution, and pest control.


Required Skills and Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as public health or environmental science;
* Proven track record of providing expert technical advice and guidance;
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences;
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions;
