About the Role
BDO empowers people to realise possibilities through exceptional talent and services. Our CFO Advisory team provides subject-matter reporting and finance function advisory to existing and new clients, specialising in sustainability/climate reporting.
This role sits within the Sustainability team in Sydney and manages delivery of sustainability and climate-related financial reporting projects, applying sustainability reporting frameworks and standards (e.g. IFRS S2, TCFD, GRI) to finance, data gathering and reporting process-related service delivery experiences. The focus is on preparing clients for mandatory climate reporting in Australia.
Key responsibilities include advising clients on value-creating and bespoke sustainability and climate-related financial reporting solutions, leading multiple teams across various disciplines and reviewing output, coaching and mentoring junior team members, liaising with senior stakeholders to ensure engagement objectives are met and risks are mitigated, developing market-facing materials about BDO's sustainability practice, and contributing to internal capability building. Additionally, you will mentor and guide junior team members during client engagements and support their professional development.
