Embedded within the organisation's compact, high performance WA-based professional services team, the
Technical Officer will be responsible for ensuring a range of electronic military systems and equipment are maintained and evolved within a dynamic and high profile, in-service support program.
The Technical Officer will be a key component of an integrated engineering support group comprising of on-the-ground resources, as well as multi-located engineering development, project and executive management stakeholders. As a member of the client-facing consulting group, you will act as "
the face of the company" and will therefore possess outstanding communication, interpersonal and project delivery skills.
The Technical Officer will undertake a range of tasks including:
Testing, maintaining and troubleshooting a range of electronic warfare and communication systems on-board naval platforms
Undertaking complex systems reviews and upgrades
Computer and surveillance, equipment installations and removals including: condition assessments, survey / overhaul / repair, performance optimisation, customer / third party stakeholder liaison
Identifying and implementing process improvement methodologies
The Technical Officer will ideally hold formal qualifications in Electronics, Communications (or equivalent), demonstrable experience supporting in office installations of computer based subsystems, and intimate understanding of Defence equipment maintenance standards and processes (ideally Naval). Given the sensitive nature of the customer and information environment, you will also be required to hold an
active Australian security clearance (NV1 minimum).
