Role Details
We are seeking a proactive and detail‑driven Maintenance Administration Officer to support our Surface Maintenance Department. This casual position (maximum 22 hours per week) is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, enjoys improving systems, and takes pride in accurate, compliant administrative work.
This role plays a key part in strengthening our maintenance systems, improving communication, and reducing administrative load on technical and supervisory staff.
As the Maintenance Administration Officer, you will support the department by ensuring maintenance records, compliance documentation, and communication channels are accurate, organised, and up to date. You'll work closely with supervisors, planners, contractors, and other site departments to keep our maintenance operations running smoothly.
This is a residential only position, based in Broken Hill.
What You'll Be Doing
System Development & Data Management
* Support the digitalisation of maintenance records, including version control and SharePoint/Teams development.
* Maintain accurate data entry and structured record‑keeping.
Work Order & Compliance Management
* File, sort, and audit Pronto work orders for accuracy and completion.
* Prepare maintenance reports, dashboards, and audit trails.
Documentation & Reporting
* Assist with information flow between Surface Maintenance, Planning, and other site departments.
* Maintain compliance documentation to support audit readiness.
Inventory, Procurement & Contractor Support
* Maintain PPE and tooling registers to ensure accountability and compliance.
* Assist with procurement requisitions, tracking, and goods receipting.
* Support contractor onboarding, inductions, and documentation management.
