About The Role:
This position plays a vital role in delivering person-centred activities for older patients with cognitive impairment.
* Supporting therapeutic engagement, emotional wellbeing and social connection through structured and spontaneous activities tailored to individual needs and preferences.
* Working under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful applicant will be responsible for supporting patients with cognitive impairment in various aspects of their care.
* Engaging patients in meaningful activities that cater to their interests and abilities.
* Collaborating with the healthcare team to develop and implement personalized activity plans.
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, applicants must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Diploma or Certificate IV in Nursing or a related field.
* Previous experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in a gerontology or palliative care environment.
* Strong understanding of person-centred care principles and practices.
