Overview
ADF Health Services provides integrated healthcare services to Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel across Australia. As part of this contract, Serco, in partnership with Bupa, provide defence-ready clinical and support staff across 50+ on-base locations nationally, ensuring that ADF personnel have access to quality on-site medical care.
Responsibilities
* As the Enrolled Nurse at Stirling Health Centre, you will provide outpatient assessment and health promotion services under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
* You will assess care levels required for patients and set priorities accordingly, initiate treatment for minor injuries and illnesses, and be available to take last-minute shifts, ensuring flexible and responsive healthcare delivery.
Requirements / Qualifications
* A current, unconditional, and unrestricted registration as an Enrolled Nurse (Division 2), General with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* At least 2 years' full-time post-registration nursing experience within the last 5 years (or part-time equivalent), in an acute care, primary healthcare, or military setting.
* Recent participation in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities in accordance with AHPRA.
* A current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification.
* Australian Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline Defence security clearance.
About Stirling Health Centre
Located approximately 45km south of Perth on Garden Island, HMAS Stirling provides operational and logistics support to the RAN ships, submarines and aircraft based in WA. The base is home to RAN Submarine Training & Systems Centre, Training Centre West complex, Defence Communications Station Perth, and is a trials/research & support facility. Health Centre services include primary medical, underwater medicine, nursing, mental health, physiotherapy, dental and pharmaceutical services. Standard operating hours are generally 07:30 – 16:00 Monday – Friday (depending on role requirements).
