The role involves operating trucks and other plant equipment, contributing to civil construction and maintenance tasks, and promoting a strong focus on safety.
Key Responsibilities
* Safely operate trucks and other plant equipment in line with Council procedures
* Tow trailers and transport tool trailers and vans to various work sites
* Assist with civil construction and maintenance tasks (e.g. roadworks, concrete formwork, asphalt)
* Load/unload trailers and secure loads
* Maintain a strong focus on safety-both truck-related and on site
Requirements
You will need:
* A current NSW MR licence (minimum); HR licence is a bonus
* Experience in truck operation, towing, and maintenance
* Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment through effective WHS practices in both truck driving and labouring
* A current NSW WHS Construction Induction (White Card)
* Ability to obtain Traffic Control and Working Near Overhead Power Lines tickets within three months of employment
* Strong teamwork, communication, and customer service skills
* Physical capability to perform labour-intensive tasks
