Seeking an experienced lawyer to join our tax dispute resolution and controversy team.
Maintaining effective working relationships with revenue authorities while preparing for and resolving tax disputes is a key responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality services to clients by working collaboratively across KPMG's Tax & Legal practice and the firm.
* Develop strong client relations, motivate and work as part of a high-performing team to achieve outcomes.
* Provide legal advice on taxation law and administrative law.
* Work with a range of clients and specialists to develop written and oral advocacy skills.
Collaboration with specialist groups across KPMG's Deals, Tax & Legal practice in Australia and internationally is also a feature of many engagements.

Qualifications, skills & experience could include:
* Previous experience in corporate tax, international tax, tax law and/or tax dispute resolution and controversy in either a Big 4 professional services firm, a law firm or the Australian Taxation Office, with prior Big 4 experience viewed favourably.
* Ability to deliver fully integrated solutions and make decisions to best meet client needs, collaborating as required across KPMG's Tax & Legal practice and the firm.
* Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement in the delivery of quality services to clients, providing value add solutions to client's problems.
* Strong interpersonal, influencing and project management skills, as well as an ability to motivate and work as part of a high-performing team to achieve outcomes.
* Ability to develop strong client relations and be proactive in deepening those relationships.
* Commitment to support firm and practice training by providing knowledge for the development and delivery of training.
* Honest and ethical approach to business, which will provide a natural fit with our values.
* Australian and/or other Commonwealth country legal experience.
