The role Reporting directly to the workshop supervisor, you'll be responsible for a range of workshop mechanical duties and occasional shutdowns and project work at multiple underground sites around central NSW. Mechanical maintenance on a variety of underground hardrock and surface mining machinery. Leading by example both on and off the tools, encouraging team work, collaboration, and crew culture whilst providing effective supervision and leadership. Supporting with shutdown projects across NSW underground mine sites. Your skills & experience You will come from a background working on mobile plant maintenance and rebuilds and be confident working on underground mining machinery. Anyone from a heavy earthmoving and agricultural mechanical background could also be suited to the position: Cert III Mobile Plant (desirable) Heavy mechanical trade qualification (essential) Experience working on underground hardrock mining machinery (maintenance and rebuilds) Experience working on a variety of Sandvik and CAT equipment (desirable) Proven knowledge on hydraulic maintenance and repairs.
