Cognoscenti Food & Wine in Belgrave, is looking for a full-time Chef to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and skilled chef to contribute to the success of our busy neighbourhood restaurant, loved by both locals and visitors to the Dandenong Ranges.

Our menu is seasonal and produce-driven, focusing on fresh ingredients and combining both classic and modern cooking techniques, with our charcoal oven as the star of the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepping and cooking for a section with strong attention to detail
• Ensure all recipes and presentation standards are consistently followed
• Maintain high kitchen hygiene and follow the food safety program thoroughly
• Provide guidance and support to junior kitchen staff as needed
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of kitchen operations and guest satisfaction

• Strong cooking skills with the ability to produce consistent, high-quality dishes
• Excellent time management and multitasking skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Commitment to maintaining high food safety and hygiene standards
• Ability to supervise junior staff and kitchen hands
