About the Role
The Business Development Coordinator plays a key role in expanding Garden Village's community presence and client base within the home care and aged care sector. This role is responsible for fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, families, referral sources, and community organisations, to drive client intake and increase brand awareness.
Working closely with prospective clients and their representatives, the Business Development Coordinator ensures accurate pricing, contract information, and a comprehensive understanding of Garden Village's home care services while meeting all legislative requirements.
This role also leads engagement with key referrers, including hospitals, medical professionals, and allied health providers, to establish and maintain effective referral pathways. Additionally, the Business Development Coordinator ensures that Garden Village's brand is well-represented, aligning all engagement efforts with the organisation's commitment to high-quality, client-focused care .
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Strategy
* Develop and implement a long-term business development strategy aligned with the Home Care Business Plan to drive sustainable growth.
* Identify, pursue, and bring to fruition new business opportunities in collaboration with senior management.
* Establish and maintain strategic partnerships and networks to increase client referrals and service awareness.
* Engage with key stakeholders to develop referral pathways, particularly with GPs, discharge planners, social workers, and other medical professionals.
Marketing & Community Engagement
* Plan, promote, and execute community engagement activities, ensuring resources are regularly reviewed and updated.
* Develop and execute strategies for engaging key referral partners and community groups.
* Work collaboratively with the Community Services Manager and Care Coordinators to create client resources, including newsletters and promotional materials.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
* Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen service delivery and referral partnerships.
* Provide accurate and timely information to prospective clients regarding home care services, pricing, and eligibility criteria.

* Actively participate in quality improvement activities to enhance service delivery and client experience.

Desired Skills and Experience
Qualifications and Experience
* Proven experience in a sales or business development role, with a strong ability to convert leads into clients .
* Strong knowledge of aged care legislation, My Aged Care (MAC), and the process for accessing home care services.
* Exceptional relationship-building and customer service skills, with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders.
* Highly developed negotiation, analytical, and communication skills (both written and verbal).
* Ability to work autonomously and achieve set business growth targets .
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and engage decision-makers.
* Knowledge of the health and social issues affecting older Australians.
* High level of confidentiality and professionalism .
* Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite .
* Current driver's license .
