MLHD - Visiting Medical Officer - Oncology

Employment Type: Visiting Medical Officer (Permanent/Full Time/Part Time/Contract)
Responsibilities
* Deliver high‐quality care as a medical oncologist in a rural setting.
* Provide comprehensive oncology services as part of the Medicine Department.
* Participate in the general medicine on‐call roster.
* Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes.
* Possibility to undertake private practice at Calvary Riverina Private Hospital.

Qualifications
* Registered with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist Physician in Medical Oncology or equivalent overseas trained specialist pathway.
* Demonstrated effective clinical communication using IT, written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
* Significant experience in the relevant specialty.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership of a team.
* Commitment to teaching, continuing education, research and quality improvement.
* Availability to participate in on‐call rosters and respond on site within a reasonable time.

Remuneration
Rates are indicative and based on NSW Health awards and local arrangements.
* VMO GP: up to $247.30/hr (equating to $474,816 + super for eligible 40 hrs/week 48 weeks).
* VMO Specialist: up to $275.85/hr (equating to $529,632 + super for eligible 40 hrs/week 48 weeks).
* Senior Specialist VMO: up to $293.75/hr (equating to $564,000 + super for eligible 40 hrs/week 48 weeks).
* Fee‐for‐Service and Rural Doctors Settlement Package arrangements follow the Visiting Medical Officer (State) Award and the Public Hospitals VMO Determination.
