Retravision Stadium is a state-of-the-art sporting and function facility situated at the heart of Albany's unique social landscape, providing a hub for a variety of community, sporting and social events.

The stadium features a 500-seated grandstand, 400-person capacity multi-use function space with bar facilities, 100-person grandstand bar and full commercial-grade kitchen.

We are seeking a hands-on events manager with marketing experience to be responsible for the overall management of the function centre and stakeholder engagement with the two home football clubs and other community sponsors.

The duties of the role include:

Event Planning & Coordination

· Managing all aspects of function & event delivery from customer enquiries to function sales and hands-on management of the function/event.

· Plan, coordinate, and deliver a variety of events, community functions, private bookings, and sporting club events.

· Preparation of event plans, quotes and invoices for prospective function/event clients.

· Roster scheduling of staff, management of staff to ensure seamless event service and timesheet approval of staff.

· Work closely with clients to understand event requirements and ensure smooth delivery of functions from planning through to pack-down.

· Oversee on-the-day event operations, providing hands on management, including room set-up, bar service, food service, audio-visual arrangements, supplier coordination, and attendee experience.

Marketing & Promotion

· Maintenance and implementation of the marketing plan to increase awareness of the facility and what we offer, including maintenance of function packages, our website and social media accounts.

· Develop and implement marketing campaigns to promote venue events, programs, and community initiatives.

· Create engaging content for social media, website updates, newsletters, and printed materials.

· Manage branding, photography, and promotional assets to maintain a professional and consistent venue image.

· Manage sponsor signage, advertising placements, and promotional commitments at the venue and online.

· Coordinate sponsor recognition at events, in marketing materials, and across digital platforms.

Community Engagement

· Build strong relationships with local clubs, community groups, and stakeholders to encourage venue use and community participation.

· Support and grow community-driven programs and initiatives held at the venue.

· Liaising with the Royals and Albany Sharks football clubs and incorporate respective game day/social event calendars into the overall stadium availability schedule.

Administration & Reporting

· General administrative tasks required for the maintenance and management of the facility.

· Maintain the event booking calendar and coordinate communication between committee members.

· Prepare post-event reports, marketing reports, and sponsorship updates for committee review.

General Venue Support

· Ensure compliance with venue policies, licensing, and safety requirements during events.

· Collaborate with the Bar & Facilities Manager to ensure the venue is prepared for upcoming events.

· Support venue development projects, improvements, and promotional opportunities.

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

· A current Approved Manager's certification, or the ability to obtain it.

· WA Food Safety Supervisor Certificate, or the ability to obtain it.

To be successful in this role, you will possess the following experience:

· Substantial experience in delivering successful functions and events from inception through to execution.

· Knowledge of marketing strategies across a range of channels and the ability to implement a marketing/promotion plan.

· A working knowledge of costings, quoting and understanding budget targets.

· An ability to work within the Microsoft Office suite of programs, particularly Word, Excel and Powerpoint.

· Knowledge of basic bookkeeping data entry in MYOB.

· Knowledge of basic people resourcing and scheduling in Deputy.

To be successful in this role, you will possess the following skills:

· Excellent time management skills.

· An ability to work independently.

· Well-developed people skills with an ability to build relationships and professionally communicate with customers, stakeholders and staff.

· The ability to complete manual movement and heavy lifting up to 15 kilos
