About the role
The Pembroke Hotel is seeking an experienced and driven Hotel Manager to lead our team and oversee the day-to-day operations of our venue. This is a genuinely hands-on role. You will be working alongside your team across all areas of the hotel, including our busy bistro and gaming floor. What you'll be doing
* Managing all hotel operations with a hands-on, lead-from-the-front approach
* Overseeing bistro service and kitchen coordination
* Supervising gaming operations in compliance with all regulatory requirements
* Leading, rostering, and developing a motivated front-of-house team
* Managing stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships
* Ensuring compliance with liquor licensing, RSA, and RCG obligations
* Driving revenue, managing costs, and reporting on venue performance
* Maintaining a safe, welcoming, and well-presented venue at all times
What we're looking for
* Experience in an operational management position within the Hospitality industry or related industry
* Valid Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification
* Valid Responsible Conduct of Gambling (RCG) certification
* Experience with H&L POS system
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate the team
* Experience managing to budgets and controlling costs
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
* Well rounded product knowledge (beverage, gaming, food) and applied knowledge of relevant legislation.
* Flexibility to work across a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays
