We are now seeking a skilled and motivated Refrigeration Technician or HVACR tradesperson ready to take the next step in their career.
About the Opportunity
This role is ideal for a well-rounded, experienced refrigeration professional who enjoys technical problem solving, working with customers, and influencing project outcomes — but is looking to move off the tools and into a more strategic, customer-focused position.
As a Sales Engineer, you will combine your hands-on industry knowledge with commercial insight to:
* Provide technical guidance and practical solutions to customers and internal sales teams
* Support equipment selection and system design
* Help drive sales growth across your region
* Strengthen long-term customer relationships
Your real-world experience will allow you to confidently recommend the right HVACR solutions and ensure successful maintenance and project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide expert technical advice on commercial refrigeration and HVACR equipment
* Assist with system design, equipment selection, and quotation preparation
* Follow up opportunities to maximise sales conversion and revenue outcomes
* Work alongside sales teams on customer visits, technical presentations, and solution development
* Support product launches, training sessions, and industry engagement activities
* Monitor market trends and identify new business opportunities
* Contribute to sales planning, forecasting, and regional strategy
About You
We are looking for someone who brings strong technical credibility and industry respect.
You may be:
* An experienced Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Technician
* A Senior Tradesperson looking to move into a technical sales pathway
* A Technician with estimating or project management exposure
You will ideally have:
* Solid hands-on experience with commercial refrigeration systems
* Strong knowledge of system design, controls, and component selection
* Confidence in troubleshooting and providing practical solutions
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust with contractors and customers
* Commercial awareness and a proactive, results-focused mindset
* Strong organisational and time management skills
Previous sales experience is advantageous but not essential — technical capability, attitude, and industry knowledge are highly valued.
