Disability Support Worker – Permanent Part Time & Casual – Kirrawee
Location: Sydney
Joining our Supported Independent Living (SIL) team, you will support 4 people with disability living in shared housing in Kirrawee who enjoy watching planes at the airport, going to see horses and swimming! These people require a range of support, including high behaviours of concern, high medical needs, high‐intensity daily personal activities and heavy hoisting and manual handling. Successful candidates must be experienced and confident in working in a varied environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Follow person‐centred support and behaviour plans
* Provide assistance with high‐intensity daily personal activities
* Facilitate client goal achievement through meaningful activities
* Maintain thorough record keeping
* Build positive relationships with clients, families and colleagues
* Advocate for client choice and control
Skills & Experience
* Experience working with people with disability
* Previous experience working behaviours of concern
* Prior experience working with high medical needs
* Confidence in driving a wheelchair van
* Manual handling and hoisting experience
* A current First Aid and CPR Certificate
Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including a National Criminal History Record Check and obtain an NDIS Clearance.
Remuneration
Permanent Part Time hourly rate from $***** + Super; Casual hourly rate from $***** + Super.
