Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Cost Manager, you will be responsible for managing the change management process, identifying, analyzing, approving, and implementing changes that affect project costs. You will also participate in tender/bid processes, analyze tenders to ensure client value for money, and assist in preparing and agreeing final accounts.
* Actively participate in the tender/bid process from initial tender/bid documentation through analysis and reporting.
* Manage the change management process by identifying, analyzing, approving, and implementing changes that affect project costs.
* Analyse tenders/bids to ensure client value for money.
* Assist in the preparation and agreement of final accounts, including handling claims to ensure clients receive best value from works undertaken.
* Create estimates and cost plans for key client developments.
* Oversee project spend by creating valuations and cost reports, clearly communicating variations to teams.
* Support nimble project management and clear decision-making with excellent cost documentation and timely communication.
* Support the settlement of construction disputes/loss and expense claims with transparency.
For this role, you should have experience as a senior cost manager, ideally from a consultancy background. You should also have experience in pre-contract cost management, budget control, cost planning, preparing and initiating change forms for discussion with other project stakeholders. Chartered or on the path to complete it is highly desirable.
