$140,000 p.a. plus superannuation and benefits About the roleAs the Senior Manager, Awards and Recognition, you will lead the national strategy and delivery of Engineers Australia's Excellence Awards and Credential and Member Recognition programs, creating high-impact initiatives that celebrate engineering excellence and elevate the value of professional credentials. You will set the vision and framework for recognition across Engineers Australia, working collaboratively with Divisions and business teams to deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes that strengthen professional pride and showcase the impact of engineering in Australia and beyond. LocationFlexible with a preference for Melbourne or Sydney In this role you will:Lead the national strategy and delivery of Engineers Australia's Awards and Recognition programs, ensuring they are prestigious, high-impact and aligned to organisational strategy. Provide strong, forward-looking leadership to the Awards Unit, building capability, cohesion and a culture of service excellence. Design and embed a comprehensive credential and member recognition framework, positioning credentials as key markers of professional achievement. Ensure programs remain relevant and future-focused, anticipating industry and member needs while maintaining rigorous governance and evaluation standards. Oversee end-to-end operational excellence, including financial management, risk oversight, systems, vendors and digital enablement. Translate strategic priorities into clear delivery roadmaps, ensuring initiatives are effectively executed and outcomes are realised. Collaborate and influence across Engineers Australia, guiding Divisions, Business Growth, volunteers and committees to deliver consistent, high-quality recognition nationally. Here's what we're looking for:Proven experience leading teams and complex programs, managing multiple initiatives with overlapping timelines while maintaining a strong focus on service excellence. Demonstrated ability to build credibility and strong relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholders, committees and volunteer groups. Expertise in senior-level event delivery and operations, including financial oversight, reporting, and ensuring high-quality outcomes. Experience leading, mentoring and developing teams, including geographically dispersed teams, with a focus on capability uplift and continuous improvement. Outcomes-driven and innovative in approach, with a strong track record in business process improvement, change management and achieving tangible results. Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into delivery, ensuring alignment between organisational priorities and program outcomes.
