About The Role
The Strategy and Performance Division positions the value of public education in South Australia and is a critical enabler to the improvement of the public education system. Its collective functions drive strategy at the system level as well as managing strategic risks, providing insights and enabling schools and preschools to succeed in the eyes of their communities.
The division is comprised of the following directorates and business units, Office of the Executive Director, Strategic Policy, External Relations, National Relations and Policy, Communications, International Education Services, Data Operations and Service, Assessment and Collections, Data Insights, Strategic Data Initiatives.
The Lead, Business and Divisional Operations works within the Office of the Executive Director, but also across the division to lead the transformation of business operations, practices and systems, whilst remaining responsive to changes in the external environment. Reporting to the Executive Director, Strategy and Performance, the role partners closely with the leadership team to prioritise and deliver business system and process improvements that enable the division's strategic direction and embed sustainable culture change.
The role has responsibility for a team of executive support staff and provides strategic leadership and oversight across key operational functions, including human, financial and physical resources, as well as information management.

Special conditions
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.
The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

Remuneration
ASO8 $125,649 - $130,392 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (12%) and leave loading
