Taylor Marine is a leading provider of Navigation and Communications solutions to the maritime industry across Australia. We proudly support customers within Defence, Major Shipyards, Oil & Gas, Merchant Shipping, Commercial Fishing and the Leisure Marine sectors.

Due to continued growth across our National Deep Sea, Local Service and Electronics Distribution Divisions, we are seeking a motivated and organised Stores & Stock Administrator to join our team in Henderson, WA.

Based at our modern facilities in the heart of the Henderson maritime precinct, this role will provide vital warehouse and administrative support to our Service & Sales Divisions, working closely with Service Coordinators, Technical Staff and Sales Personnel to ensure efficient inventory management and service delivery.

Reporting to the National Technical Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day management of stores operations, stock control, freight coordination and inventory administration. This is a hands‐on position suited to someone who enjoys a varied role within an occasionally fast‐paced technical service environment.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Stores & Stock Administrator is responsible for managing spare parts inventory, warehouse operations, stock movements, freight coordination and associated administrative duties for our Deep Sea Service & Support and Electronics Distribution Departments. This role combines traditional stores and inventory responsibilities with specialised support functions including Fly Away Spares Kits (FASK) preparation, freight management, warranty administration and general operational support.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Inventory and Stock Management

* Monitor and maintain optimal stock levels of spare parts to meet operational requirements whilst minimising excess inventory
* Conduct regular stock checks & counts of critical spare parts
* Process receipt of incoming stock & spares, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation
* Unpacking, receipting, labelling and putting away spare parts and stock, including inspecting for quality & quantity compliance
* Prepare and dispatch spares and stock items to internal departments, customers and sub-contractors
* Track stock movements and maintain accurate inventory records in the ERP system
* Obtain freight quotes for local, intrastate and interstate deliveries
* Liaise with freight companies regarding despatch, receipt and delivery dates
* Ensure proper packaging standards and shipping documentation for all outbound materials, including dangerous goods considerations

FASK and Parts Distribution

* Check, pack and despatch Fly Away Spares Kits (FASKs)
* Maintain accurate FASK inventory levels and composition requirements

Administrative Functions

* Reconcile freight invoices with shipping records to confirm the accuracy of freight charges
* Liaise with freight companies to resolve discrepancies in freight invoice amounts
* Assist with warranty paperwork and documentation
* Perform general administration duties to support department operations
* Ensure proper storage conditions and warehouse organisation standards
* Maintain an efficient, clean, safe and secure warehouse section

ABOUT YOU

* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Excellent organisational and time management skills
* Effective written and verbal communication abilities
* Problem‐solving and analytical thinking capabilities
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Physical ability to lift, move and handle spare parts
* Hold a current High Risk Work Licence (Forklift)
* Dangerous Goods Awareness Certificate is highly desirable but not essential
* Experience with Microsoft Business Central is highly desirable but not essential

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

* Primarily warehouse and office environment
* Regular use of computer systems (Microsoft Business Central) and material handling equipment
* Regular lifting, moving, and handling of items in accordance with safe work practices
* Standing, walking and physical activity for extended periods

Remuneration is commensurate to your relevant skills & experience and will be discussed on an individual basis.
