Job Overview
This role is a permanent, full-time position with a 35-hour working week (Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm) at our Nowra Administration Building.
The primary focus of this position is to administer applicable Acts and achieve the best built environment, health, welfare, and well-being of the community while ensuring the objectives of our Management Plan and customer service standards are met.
Key Responsibilities
* We require your assistance in administering applicable Acts;
* You will be responsible for assessing Construction Certificates, Complying Development Certificates, Building Information Certificates, Bushfire Attack Level Certificates, and Development Assessment as required;
* Please provide professional advice and guidance to the public on development-related matters;
* Manage, assess, and process development assessments that range in complexity and value.
Requirements
* A tertiary qualification in Building Surveying or equivalent to attain a registered Class of building surveyor - Building Inspector;
* You must undertake or have completed training to achieve a registered Class of building surveyor - Building Inspector with NSW Fair Trading;
* Registration as a certifier to attain a registered Class of building surveyor - restricted (class 1 and 10 buildings) with NSW Fair Trading is essential;
* You must hold or be eligible to acquire a NSW WorkCover Construction Induction card;
* A Class C Driver's Licence is also required.
