We are seeking a motivated 3rd or 4th-year engineering student or recent graduate for a full-time position (Monday - Friday).We are also seeking a full-time Mechanical Engineer with a minimum of 3 years rail experience.This position offers hands-on experience in commissioning road rail vehicles (RRVs) / maintenance equipment, engineering analysis, and design. It's an excellent opportunity to gain practical industry skills and work on meaningful engineering projects.Roles and ResponsibilitiesCommissioning road rail maintenance equipment such as excavators, EWPs, cranes, tippers, welding units, and trailersConducting general inspections, brake testing, suspension testing, and operational testingHands-on work including equipment operation and measurementsPerforming gap analysis reports to ensure compliance with relevant standardsConducting reverse engineering inspections and reportsEngaging in design engineering and report writing using CAD softwareAssisting in policy and procedure developmentSkills and Requirements3rd or 4th-year engineering student or recent graduateStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsInterest in mechanical systems and hands-on testingAbility to conduct detailed reports and analysesFamiliarity with CAD software is a plusA proactive and eager-to-learn attitudeStrong attention to detailStrong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with teammatesWhat we OfferAt RRVC, we are committed to providing our employees with a supportive and enriching work environment.
