Are you a strategic leader with a passion for driving financial excellence and procurement innovation? RoadTek is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to take on the role of Director (Finance and Procurement).
RoadTek is a commercial business within the Department of Transport and Main Roads. We provide transport infrastructure solutions for projects across Queensland. Responsibilities
* Lead the successful operation of the RoadTek branch by providing high level strategic advice and management analysis relating to accounting and procurement practices and processes.
* Lead and co‐ordinate financial and procurement resources for RoadTek in the development and implementation of business planning, budgeting, pricing, costing, taxation, procurement, asset management and the application of relevant financial and procurement policies.
* Actively provide sound, critical, financial and procurement advice in strategic business planning and develop finance and procurement strategies.
* Establish and monitor systems to provide financial data for assessment of business performance, identification and proactive rectification of anomalies in financial management.
* Actively manage and influence internal and external stakeholder relationships.
* Lead, coach, mentor and monitor the performance of finance and procurement staff.
* Lead and manage financial and procurement governance processes and procedures.
* Lead formulation of policy and ensure compliance.
* Plan, lead and manage resources (human and technological) to ensure the effective delivery of procurement services and operational governance and performance to drive accountability, probity, consistency and transparency in a procurement hub delivery model.
* Lead the RoadTek Subcontract procurement framework category.
* Oversee the asset management and lifecycle of RoadTek's fleet of construction equipment (replacement value of approximately $250M).
* Manage facilities capital and maintenance (major) programs for all RoadTek accommodation and depots across Queensland.

* Due to this role having access to sensitive data, a criminal history check will be undertaken prior to appointment to the role.
Desirable Qualifications And Conditions
* Possession of a degree or equivalent in the areas of accounting, commerce, or business administration is highly regarded.
* Professional membership of CPA Australia, the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, the National Institute of Accountants, or qualifications from an overseas accounting body that are recognised by at least two of the above bodies as having equivalent requirements for membership, would also be highly regarded.

* Demonstrated experience in providing financial analysis, reporting and advice that is timely, promotes sound governance and is strategic.
* Proven ability to lead complex budgeting and financial management processes in a large, multifaceted organisation.
* Highly developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Strong leadership capabilities with a demonstrated ability to drive accountability, build financial and procurement capability across teams, and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
* Demonstrated strategic thinking and decision-making skills.
