Location: Fremantle (commuting to Rottnest Island as required), Western Australia
The Manager Marketing and Events is a pivotal role in promoting one of Australia's most iconic tourism destinations. This position is responsible for leading and managing the marketing, events, and digital functions, ensuring the effective communication and promotion of Rottnest Island's unique offerings to domestic and international markets.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leadership and Management: Oversee the marketing, events, and digital teams, driving strategic initiatives to enhance the island's brand and visitor experience.
2. Event Coordination: Support the organisation by planning and executing high-impact events that attract and engage visitors.
3. Marketing Communications: Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies and digital experiences to promote Rottnest Island.
4. Brand Oversight: Manage the consumer brands, ensuring consistent and effective application across all platforms.

Selection Criteria
1. Extensive experience in a senior marketing communications role, preferably within a tourism or leisure brand context.
2. Demonstrated recent experience in the application of digital platforms and technologies to achieve consumer marketing and communication objectives.
3. Demonstrated recent experience in strategic content planning, development, implementation, and measurement.
4. Experience in event development, event management, sponsorship management, or provision of grants, preferably within a tourism or destination context.
