About the role

The role is responsible for providing leadership on the development and implementation of maternity and newborn strategic and clinical policies and programs, in alignment with NSW Health priorities. This includes the implementation of Connecting, listening and responding: A Blueprint for Action – Maternity Care in NSW, the recommendations of the Inquiry into Birth Trauma, strengthening the tiered perinatal network across NSW and improving pathways to termination of pregnancy care.
The position will work closely with health service providers, other government agencies and key stakeholders, and is supported by Senior Clinical Advisors.
Crown Clerk 11/12, starting salary from $149,739-$173,174 p.a. plus superannuation and annual leave loading, with a 35-hour work week, work location - 1 Reserve Road, St Leonards.

What you'll be doing
The successful candidate will lead and manage policy, strategy and projects that support better outcomes for pregnant women, their babies and families in collaboration with key stakeholders in maternity and newborn services across NSW.
The successful candidate will be an experienced manager, who expertly communicates and collaborates to maximise the broader capacity of the health system to generate results. Experience in the health system would be highly valued.
About you
We are seeking motivated and committed individuals who can support the work of NSW Health with:
* Relevant tertiary midwifery qualifications and demonstrated relevant management and clinical experience.
* Significant experience in developing, implementing and evaluating maternity and newborn strategic and clinical policies, programs and models of care in a multi-disciplinary and/or multi-agency environment.
* Demonstrated ability to lead strategic engagement with diverse stakeholders to deliver on complex maternity and newborn strategic and clinical policies, programs and models of care.
