Job Description
The Benevolent Society is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Bus Driver to transport clients to social events, access essential services, and attend excursions and outings at our Greenwood Cottage day centre program.
About the Role
This role provides an opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of older people in the Bexley community by providing safe and reliable transportation services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of our clients during transportation and events.
Duties
* Provide safe, reliable and timely transport services for clients.
* Support other team members to carry out activities, coordinate meals, facilitate excursions and outings, and meet the needs of clients during transportation, excursions and events.
* Support other team members to monitor and ensure the safety of clients during excursions and events.
* Ensure the bus is kept in a clean, well-maintained condition.
* Coordinate vehicle maintenance and service requirements, in consultation with the Manager and Fleet.
* Support clients to have an enjoyable outing or attend an event.
Requirements
* Driver's License LR or HV or Bus License (essential).
* Good driving record with no significant incidents recorded.
* Current First Aid certificate (or a willingness to obtain).
* Strong understanding of road rules and regulations.
* A strong commitment to safety, especially the safety of clients.
* Certificate III in Aged Care – highly regarded but not essential.
