The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Principal House Officer (Dermatology) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
* Review and facilitate review of patients in the Dermatology Outpatients Clinics
* Be the primary point of call for the Dermatology Department
* Assist with chart reviews and appropriate triaging of wait lists, requests from other departments in liaison with Consultant Dermatologists
* Maintain a high standard of communication with patients, patients' families and staff; Inform consultants of the status of patients especially if there is an unexpected event
* Comply with and utilise procedures, policies, regulations and standards which impact upon the position, including contemporary human resources management requirements and practices such as workplace health and safety, anti-discrimination and equal employment opportunity principles and practices
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
* Bachelor degree of Medicine/Surgery (MBSS)
* AHPRA Registration
* Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
* Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
* Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
* Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
* Temporary part time (up to with the possibility of extension, 60.8 hrs p.f.)
* Base salary ranging from $ $74.43 per hour
